[1.1.1] The playing surface must be no smaller then 55 inches by 28 inches and no shorter then 29 inches.
[1.1.2] 16oz “SOLO” cups should be used, although similar substitute cups shall be acceptable. A minimum of 13 cups is needed.
[1.1.3] The balls must be a standard ping-pong or lottzey balls. A minimum of 2 balls is needed.
[1.1.4] A minimum of 1 beer per team, per game is needed. If the game goes into a 3-cup playoff, more beer will be needed.
[1.1.5] A “Zamboni” towel should be used to clean that table and floor when beer is spilt.
[1.1.6] Each team must consist of two players.
[1.2.1] At the start of the game, the cups shall be arranged at opposite ends of the table in a pyramid formation, facing each other, as shown in Diagram 1. The cups should be within one half inch of the edge of the table.
[1.2.2] Each team shall distribute a full beer reasonably evenly between their six cups.
[1.2.3] At least one cup, filled with water is needed for washing off the balls after each shot.
[1.2.4] “Shot lines”, that players must not cross when they are shooting may be established. These lines must be at least an arms-length away from the table.
[1.2.5] The members of each team must stand behind their cups at all times, unless they are recovering a stray ball or cleaning.

II: Game play
[2.1.1] When shooting, the player must stand at least an arms-length away from the table and no part of his body should cross the edge of the table at any point during his shot. If shot lines are established the players feet must not cross the line and no part of his body should cross the edge of the table at any point during his shot.
[2.1.2] A player can take a shot once the opposing team releases the ball for their second shot.
[2.1.3] The shooter may not shoot with the intension of knocking over the opposing teams cups.
[2.1.4] The shooting team gets two shots; each member of the shooting team takes one shot. They may take the two shots in any order or fashion that they wish, as long as it is in accordance with the other rules.
[2.1.5] The shooting team may not shoot the same ball twice. They must use both balls.
[2.1.6] To decide which team shall shoot first, players must shoot “eye-to-eye”. Two players, one from each team, shall both take a shot and must look at each other in the eyes while shooting. If one of the players makes their shot in, then his or her team shoots first, if both make it or both miss, the other two people shoot eye-to-eye. This process continues until there is a winner.
[2.2.1] The defending team may stand as close to the table as the wish, but may not touch the table.
[2.2.2] The defending team may catch or deflect a ball once it bounces.
[2.2.3] If a ball is spinning around the cup, but has not yet touched the beer, male players may use their fingers to remove it from the cup and female players may blown on it to remove it from the cup.
[2.2.3] If the defending team touches a ball while it is in flight and before it has cross the edge of the table, they must drink one of their cups and remove it from the table.
[2.2.4] Until one cup remains, defenders cannot obstruct the view or attempt to distract the shooter
[2.2.5] Once one cup remains the defenders may distract and partially obstruct the view of the shooter, but may not fully obstruct the shooters view of the cup.
[2.3.1] A ball is not considered in a cup until it has touched the beer in the cup. Once a cup is in, the cup must be removed from the table and drank by the team who the cup belongs to.
[2.3.2] If a legal shot is taken, and the ball goes in any of defending teams cups that shall be considered a score. That cup shall be removed from the table and the beer in it must be drank by the defending team.
[2.3.2] If a legal shot is taken, and it enters into the shooting teams cup, without the defending team touching the ball that shall be considered a score. That cup shall be removed from the table and the beer in it must be drank by the shooting team.
[2.3.3] If any member of either team knocks over any of their own team’s cups, those cups must be removed from the table.
[2.3.4] If a legal shot is taken, and it goes into a cup that the defending team should have drank, but did not or if a legal shot is taken and it goes into a cup, without being touched the defending team, that the shooting team should have drank, but did not, the team whose cup the ball went into, shall be declared the loser of the game and the game shall not continue.
[2.3.5] If the shooting team scores on both of with both of its shots in a single turn there shall be a “roll back” and the shooting team shall immediately get another turn.
[2.3.6] If the shooting team bounces a ball, of the table, into one of the defending teams cups the defending team must remove and drink the cup the ball went into and another cup of the defending team’s choice. When there are two cups left, this rule does not apply; a bounced ball shall be treated as a normal shot.
[2.3.7] If the shooting team has one cup left and they make one out of two of their shots in, that team shall be declared the potential game winners. The opposing team gets a chance to retaliate; if they fail to make any shots in, the potential game winners win the game. If the retaliating team makes one shot in, then the game goes into a 3-cup playoff.
[2.3.8] If the shooting team has one cup left and they make both of their shots in, they shall get a roll back, as stated in rule 2.4.5, and if they make one of their roll-back shots in, they shall be declared the winners of the game.
[2.3.9] If the shooting team has one cup left and they make both of their shots in, they shall be declared the potential game winners and get a roll back, as stated in rule 2.4.5, and if they fail to make any of their roll-back shots in, the defending team shall get a chance to retaliate. If the retaliating team fails to make both of their shots in the potential game winners win the game.
[2.3.10] If the shooting team has one cup left and they make both of their shots in, they shall be declared the potential game winners and get a roll back, as stated in rule 2.4.5, and if they fail to make any of their roll-back shots in, the defending team shall get a chance to retaliate. If the retaliating team makes both of their shots in, the retaliating team shall get a roll back, if they make one of their roll-back shots, they shall be declared the winner, if they miss both shots, the game shall go into a 3 cup play off.
[2.3.11] If the game has to go to a 3-cup play-off both teams shall set up 3 cups in a triangle formation. All the regulation rules apply. The team who was last the defending team shall become the shooting team.
[2.3.12] A team can never win on a bounce, under any circumstance.
[2.4.1] A team may ask for a rack at the beginning of their turn and the defending team must oblige.
[2.4.2] Once one player on the shooting team has shot, they defending team does not have to give a rack.
[2.4.3] A team may not ask for a rack until they have made two of the six cups.
[2.4.4] If a member of the defending team touches a cup for any reason except a defensive action then rule [2.4.2] does not apply
[2.4.5] The shooting team may shoot while the defending team is racking
[2.4.6] When four cups remain the cups should be racked in a diamond formation with the middle two cups touching as shown in diagram 2
[2.4.8] When three cups remain the cups should be racked in a triangle formation with two cups at the edge of the table, as shown in diagram 3.
[2.4.9] When two cups remain the cups should be racked in a line formation as should in diagram 4.
[2.4.10] When one cup remains the cup should be racked center of the edge of the table.
